About
Published by cornelius on Thursday, June 28th, 2007 in Miscellaneous. My name is Cornelius Rabsch, I am currently finishing my studies in Business Administration and Computer Science at the University of Mannheim in Germany. It is a German Diploma degree, similar to a master program.
I care a lot about entrepreneurship, internet technologies and all things digital. Together with two co-founders we are working on a location-based startup with a focus on mobile which will launch officially at the end of this summer.
My interest in entrepreneurship and technology arose out of two stays abroad. I studied for one year at the University of Waterloo in Canada with a focus on computer science. A great university with a tremendous tech know how and I met inspiring tech entrepreneurs. Furthermore I did an research internship at Siemens Corporate Research in Princeton, USA, for seven month. I like living in an international environment with exciting projects to work on.
My studies contained topics like E-Business, E-Government, Distributed Information Systems, Operations Research, Internet Technologies or Semantic Web concepts. A really broad spectrum on top of business and computer science basics but perfect to understand business problems that involve technology issues.
Listening to great speakers is one of the things I never wanted to miss. So I enjoyed speeches of Vinton Cerf (“the father of the Internet”), Richard Stallman (Founder of the Free Software Foundation), Bjarne Stroustrup (Inventor of C++), Sir Tim Berners-Lee (Inventor of the Web), Ben Bernanke (Chairman of the Federal Reserve) during my stay abroad and many more great business-related speeches at the University of Mannheim.
I would love to hear some feedback about this blog and its topics from you. Feel free to contact me.
